In Memoriam

The Town of Beresford wishes to express its sympathies to the family and friends of M. Raymond Bertin, who passed on February 2 at the age of 85.
M. Bertin was a dedicated volunteer firefighter from 1968 to 1996 and an honorary member of the fire brigade, he also served as fire chief in 1974-1975.

He leaves behind his children Réginald (Claudine) from Dunlop, Liliane (Alcide) fromBeresford, Livain (Andréa), Clovis (Rachelle) fromSt-Laurent, Suzanne (Allain) from Dunlop and the mother of his children, Lucienne Haché. He also leaves behind his grand children: Stéphanie, Cindy, Rémi, Sophie, Serge, Jérémie, Véronique, Pascal, Mylène and Janik; his 16 great grandchildren; his girlfriend, Doris Yaremko; children of his girlfriend, her children: Mark (Dina), John (Elizabeth), Paul (Helen) and Daren (Carole); and his brother Victor (Paula) from Beresford; her sisters: Albertine (Victorin) from Beresford, Marie (Denis) from Robertville, Jeannine (Jean-Guy), Viola (Michel) both from Montréal and Évangeline (Réjean) from Nigadoo.

Flags will be flown at half mast of the Wilfred C. Foulem complex in Beresford to honour the memory of this past fire chief.
